Still Waiting

Well, things are not going according to plan...again. Originally after receiving our LOI (Letter of Invitation) we were waiting for our attorney, Svetlana, to return from vacation. Now we have been informed that she is back, but the first government official that we are to meet with when we get to Petro is on vacation. Of course, no one can do it except this person, and they have no idea when they will return. The stars are just not aligned in our favor! I have decided that we probably won't be going until September.

We have had many emotions these last couple of weeks, it has been difficult, but there are two ways we can handle it. We can cry and get mad (which is my first and natural reaction), or we can keep exercising faith, and try to teach our boys that we must have faith as well. After hearing the news today I was very upset, but a part from the Joseph Smith movie at the Visitors Center at the Mesa Temple kept going through my mind. It is after the Saints have been driven from Kirtland, and Missouri, and one of the men say, "hasn't He asked enough of us?" I felt that same way, "haven't we proven ourselves yet?" We can give up or we can be faithful, so we went out to buy bunkbeds to show our faith. Of course, the style we want is out of stock, so we can check back next week! Again, we are learning patience and we are definately learning that life doesn't always work out the way you want!
